Validation of Actical© Physical Activity Monitor FUNDING SOURCE: Mini Mitter Respironics, Inc. Data collected with an accelerometer is being compared to data gathered via indirect calorimetry to create algorithms that can be used in subsequent accelerometer studies. The results will allow researchers to accurately calculate total and physical activity energy expenditure in older white and African American adults. |
