Comments:
This material promotes physical activity to an adult population that
perceives time as a barrier to being regularly active. The material
emphasizes non-exercise related activities and provides tips for
overcoming time barriers that occur during the workweek and when
traveling. The material does a good job in reflecting the current
physical activity message and including multiethnic illustrations.
While the organization of the material and 9th grade reading level
are only "adequate", the general aesthetics and visual appeal of the
material are very good. Overall, this colorful material does a fairly
good job of promoting the physical activity message by covering
various topics that include reasons for being active, examples of 10
to 15 minute activities, examples of simple stretching and strengthening
activities, and staying motivated. In addition, the material also
addresses how to eat healthy when busy and on the run.
