Comments:
This material promotes the current physical activity message for US adults while also promoting lifelong physical activity. Special populations being addressed include middle-lower aged African-American adults with attention towards those who are initiating a physical activity program. The material presents the physical activity message in a clear and comprehensive manner that is easy to follow due to its simplicity, textual formatting, and cultural relevance. The reading level for this material, which is at an 8th grade level, is slightly inflated due to the phrase "physical activity" being used frequently. Overall, this is an excellent piece of material that presents a non-threatening message with good examples of common activities and easy to use record logs for assistance in maintaining a physically active lifestyle.
